British Sporthorses
http://www.sporthorsegb.co.uk
British Sporthorses are the products of a long established sporthorse-breeding program. The society is now known as the Sport Horse Breeding of Great Britain, but in its original incarnation as the Hunters' Improvement Society, is one of the oldest-established equine societies in the UK.
Many of the successful horses at the 2004 Olympics were British Sporthorses.
British Sporthorses are founded on a tried and tested combination of TB, Arab, native pony and heavy lines. Build varies from very light pure TBs to heavier types, depending on the actual mixture of lines involved.

The Oberlander

A German breed which incorporates the Noriker/Noriker-Pinzauger. They come in chestnut, bay and occasionally leopard appaloosa.
They are just beginning to become imported and bred in N.A. and are quite versatile and go in all types of harness and also can be ridden, jumped, etc.
Moonlight Money Maker
Moonlight Money Maker appears to be both splash and sabino but since sabino can get pretty wild, some say yes, some say no to splash.

Moonlight Money Maker is a 2001 black sabino (splash), parentage seems to be now verified, Arab stallion. His AHA number is 0616274. He is also registered with the PtHA #609543 and with SAHR (Sabino Arab Horse Registry) #000074:

There are no pictures available of his sire and dam but there are registration paper marking drawings. Blaz-Ons Bandit shows 4 short white socks and a blaze that goes down and around the nose.
The Boogeyman has to the knee socks and an even more extensive blaze. The Boogeyman is by Blacklord Arabi, who had no white markings and whose parents had no white markings between them. The Boogeyman is out of Easter Magic, who looked to be a typical sabino with a high pointy sock, a star/strip/snip and a lip mark.
Easter Magic's other foals were all minimal-to-moderate but typical-looking sabinos, including a full sister to The Boogeyman.
The 1994 bay mare Bo Bandits Myohmy by Moonlight Money Maker has high stockings and also an extensive blaze.
There's a mare named Dazzling Nobility (Windfall V by Huckleberry Bey x Her Nobility by Elimar) who also appears to be splash.
http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/apachebluranch/detail?.dir=/782d&.dnm=9bf1.jpg (The foal appears to have gotten daddy's sabino rather than mommy's ‘splash’, but it's hard to tell when they are that minimal. No blue eyes.)
Mystre-ee Bandito was a 1979 sabino who looked splash. His sire was Prarie-T Turkoman 82952 (Asil Nocturne x Lita Kaylee). The dam was Shazalla 43,176 (Hai Shaza x Dalfara, Bufarr (by Witez II).
His markings are right on the
borderline of minimal splash and loud (non-body spotted) sabino. But he has the prettiest blue eyes with MASCARA. Both his parents were grey though and he was gelded.

Mule Clones Head for the Races
In May of 2005, University of Idaho mule clones Idaho Gem and Idaho Star were off to the races.
But first the pair must complete nearly a year of training before they actually reach a racetrack in 2006. That's when the two clones will begin to prove their fitness to race and to address the debate about whether genetics or environment makes for winners or also rans.
Idaho Gem was the first clone born into the horse family on May 4, 2003. Two more mule clones were born to different surrogate mares. Utah Pioneer was born June 9, and Idaho Star was born July 27. All three clones, essentially identical triplets, carry genetic material from identical fetal mule skin cells.
Utah Pioneer will remain on campus for people to visit.
The ultimate test will be between training methods because the genetic makeup of the animals is as closely matched as possible so watch for more news in the coming year.
Nice While It Lasted…
The American Saddlebred name/pedigree search went Members Only. The upside is that instead of searching by one name at a time, it’s now in a pedigree format.

Sabino Akhal Tekes
While sabino is not usually listed as being acceptable, it is there, usually in the form of high white stocking and facial markings. The Akhal Teke Association of America (ATAA) makes no mention of white markings. http://members.tripod.com/akhaltekeamerica/ATAA.html
The following are some of the known sabinos and some that could be minimal but aren’t listed as such.
Ak Belek was a grey sabino, foaled 1932 in Turkmenistan. His name means "white waist," which probably referred to the white markings on his flank area so he had some sort of body spotting in that area.

El, born in 1932, was a bay sabino. Today you’ll find him represented by the likes of MV Mazan, a 1994 palomino sabino gelding by Jomud x Minorka II. Minorka II is sabino also.

Kir Sakar, born in 1936, was grey (buckskin) sabino. The first Akhal Teke imported to the US, Senetir, traces to Kir Sakar twice.

Posman was also grey sabino. You’ll note he is in the pedigree of Olafchan, There doesn’t appear to be a photo of Posman but in searching it brought up a picture of Ashbad, most definitely a sabino.

Skak, born in 1940, was a bay sabino. Senetir also traces to Skak.

Karlavach, born in 1934, had medium socks with a star, stripe and snip on the lip so possibly a minimal sabino.
