Good News - January/February 2006

Hi Chris and happy new year to you!  here is my submission to the 'Good News' column for Bloodlines:
My 2-year contract for the job I really love just ended, but the good news is, my employers found a bit of extra funding to keep me on for another 3 months, albeit at a much reduced number of hours.  We're still waiting to see whether they will find any funding to keep going after that, or if I will have to look for another job at that point.  But the other good news is that with working fewer hours, I can catch up with lots of projects around the house, and make a start on that stack of model horses that are waiting to be repainted!

Well I got an unexpected surprise on January 5th when I went to the real Aurora Horse Show and Agricultural Meeting!! I was presented with a Fancy Framed Certificate from the Aurora Agricultural Society Group for attending all the meetings, helping decorate our float for the Santa Claus Parade as well as attending the Aurora Horse Show for 2 days and the Trillum Horse Show!(for outstanding service)!! I even got my picture taken with the Secretary presenting it to me. I was so taken back to get it. When Sue started introducing how I joined up because I loved horses and how I attend all the meetings and coming from Richmond Hill to do so and having my parents drive me to them. I almost fell off the chair. I thought is she talking about me? So when she asked me to come up to the front and get it I was amazed beyond belief!!
