Good News - July/August 2001
"As to good news...how about this....I just got my FIRST RESIN! YEAH!
She's a Rose Grey Black Horse Ranch Maid Marion and PAd as my real Arabian Mare
SR Anzisinn Abu (By Abu Raferzon by Abu Who by *Naborr and out of Anzi Abasinn
by Abu Raferzon). She's a really, really pretty horse and I am thriled with
her! Thanks to Kathy Amick who gave me the opportunity to purchase her on time
payments......she now lives with me!" -Marta Towne
"I have Good News! As of yesterday, when I recieved my diploma, I am really,
truly a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I received
my Bachelors in English." -Jeni Hoppenrath
"As long as all goes well in closing, I'll be purchasing my first home
(a 2000 SF townhouse) on June 27th! It's in a great location in southeast Denver
proper facing west into a good sized park -- I'll see the mountains out of my
front windows! Its been a rental for years and rarely updated so it does need
a lot of paint and elbow grease, but the potential to make the place really
nice is amazing. Guess I know where my weekends are going the next few months!
Wish me luck" -Beth Gustas
"A few hours ago, I became an aunt again! My sister Hillary Velazquez
in Reno, NV & her hubby had their first baby, Gabriel Kevin. Mom & baby
doing well!" -Heather Mays
"I'm getting the wonderful pleasure of adding a gorgeous glossy palomino
H-R large "Zara" to my herd. She hasn't gotten a name or pedigree
so far, since I don't even have her in hand yet, but suggestions are welcome."
-Laurel Dedes
"I left metro Detroit and drove across the countryside to San Francisco!
This was last October (2000) when the world was internet-mad, and after about
a month or so my S.O. and I found a grossly overpriced apartment and beat out
15 other people! Crazy! This was all to take a job as assistant art director
of Digital Fate magazine. (Wait-don't run out looking for a hard copy on the
newstand, but look for back issues... it was a great reference for digital photography!)
Our big bad corporation in the UK closed us down in February.
After a brief time being laid off (along with a LOAD of others) I was called
upon for a job as associate art director of Mac Addict magazine! What a dream
come true for a Mac-geek and a long time reader too! Now that things are settled
down, I'm preparing the online s/d list for my Sunnybank/Olive Tree Stud babies
and I'm going to experiment with my digital camera, sets (no backyard, but a
sunny window!) and whatnot and enter some IPABRA shows, durn it! Once I get
safe earthquake proof (ha ha!) quarters for my herd!" -Leslie Brown
