Good News - July/August 2000
This will be a regular installment of Bloodlines so that members can share
exciting things in their lives and get to know each other better. Please send
your GOOD NEWS! submissions to Chris Wallbruch by snail mail or e-mail....
-Our own Daralyn Wallace, starting July 1st, will be the new President of NAMHSA!
This is a prestigious position and we congratulate Daralyn on her nomination.
Chris Wallbruch will also be serving on the NAN Board as the Recording Secretary,
a position newly created by the board.
-Maria Mazzacane recently graduated from night school this May, with a M.S.
in Software Development and Management from Rochester Institute of Technology
(she programs in C++ for a living). She did most of her classes via Distance
Learning over the modem, and all of those five-minute breaks for reading model
horse mail probably kept her from tossing out the computer on the days her program
didn't work! Congratuations!
-Mary Vinyard is pleased to announce that the year 2000 has brought several
new babies to the Vinyard Farm! Mary and her family have 2 new real baby Paint
horses this spring - one filly, and one colt. Both were born healthy and are
growing fast. You can see pictures of these cuties on the web at http://www.geocities.com/sassymiss_3/babypage.html
Congratulations!
-Jean Sorensen also has a new horse baby in her life...Rio, aka Bud! He was
born on May 28th between 8 pm - 10 pm. He is bay with 4 high socks, blaze, one
blue eye (the Budweiser Clydesdale look). His mom is Queenie, a chestnut splash
overo, and his dad is Bear/FL Mini Depth, a plain old bay. Congratulations!
-Chris Wallbruch is starting her Masters in Music Education this summer at
Vandercook College on the south side of Chicago - right by Comiskey Park, home
of the White Sox. She will be taking 12 hours a summer and will have completed
her Masters in the summer of 2002.
Got GOOD NEWS? Send it in! :)
