Stable Spotlight - Part Arabians
By Michelle Peck Williams
This month's featured breed is not really a breed - it's part Arabian, and
IPABRA members have some good ones. There's quite a variety, too, on the 'non-Arabian'
side of the family. From Saddlebreds to Thoroughbreds, Quarter Horses and Sporthorses,
Arabians have been successfully crossed with them all!
First off, October Moon Acres is pleased to present Molotov Mistress
(Exceladdin -r (*Aladdinn x Jortaala) x WS Timeinabottle (Bey Shah+ -r x Attache's
Magical Genie)), a 1990 bay National Show Horse mare. "Molly" is the
Status Symbol resin CM by Lynn Fraley. Her lineage is impressive, tracing to
greats such as *Aladdinn, *Exelsior, Amerigo, Bey el Bay++, *Bask, Attache,
and Flight Time. She is a consistent live and photo shower winner and was the
IPABRA 1998 #4 CM Part-Arabian. Molly is open for free to foals aged 1994+,
but photo approval is required. Please send your request and a LSASE to Chris
Wallbruch, 120 Fountainview Lane #3A, Lombard, IL 60148.
Our next featured horse is Amarna Czar, a 1992 bay Anglo-Arabian stallion
with a snip and two socks. He is an original finish North Light Arabian. His
sire is Amarna Rose Nasrullah (a legend among model racing Arabs) and his dam
is Alyscia by Alydar. He was bred by Heather Rauschenberger at Cross R Ranch.
He hopes to make his showing debut in 2000. His stud fee is 10 cents plus a
LSASE. Amarna Czar stands at Pirouette Ponies, c/o Mary Lineman, 6577 Elmwood
Road, Mentor, OH 44060.
Persimmon Hill Farm is the home of several part-Arabs, mainly pintos and palominos,
but also Appaloosas, Aralusians, Quarabs, and Anglos. One of their favorite
Part-Arab models is a palomino Traditional Black Stallion that was customized
by Linda Leach-Hardy. He is a 1989 Morab stallion named DQ Corinthian.
He is available for model stallion service to Morgans, Arabians, and Morabs.
Please inquire to Laurel Dedes, 5193 Coventry Lane, Barboursville, VA 22923.
Next up is the mare Champagne Miss (Khornerstone KpM -r by Khemosabi
x Miss Sundance -r (1/2 ASB) by Comar Bay Brummel), a 1997 amber champagne part
Arab mare. She is a full sister to Khalvin Khlein KpM, the first horse registered
as a champagne by the International Arabian Horse Association and is qualified
for the 1999 US Nationals. She is open 2001+. Her fee is free through e-mail,
and 10 cents through regular mail. Champagne Miss is owned by Amanda Geci, Rocket
City Stables, 102 Ce-Lee Circle, Huntsville, AL 35806.
Our final horse is Talisman (Affirmed -r x *Armenia by Celebes), a
1982 chestnut Anglo-Arab stallion. Talisman is an OF Hagen-Renaker "Swaps"
and was named 1997 NAN Top Ten in China Other Lightbreds. He is a son of the
great Triple Crown winner Affirmed, out of the outstanding Polish Arabian broodmare
*Armenia. Talisman was gelded in 1997 due to an unfortunate injury, but he can
still produce foals from 1985-1996. He stands free for IPABRA members at Woodland
Stables, 1232 Speculator Court, Lexington, KY 40514.
