Stable Spotlight - Thoroughbreds and Paints
By Deb Moore
Hello everyone! Well, as I sat down to write this, I realized that I had highlighted
two different breeds this month. Since I didn't get an overwhelming response
to either breed, I thought I'd go ahead and feature both breeds.
Our first stop is to visit with Beth Gustas. Beth would like to show us Jetta
Bars. Jetta Bars (Tea & Honey x Idol Rose) is a 1986 dapple grey Thoroughbred
stallion. He is a Breyer SM CM by Michelle Corn. Bred by October Moon Acres,
his sire Tea & Honey (owned by Chris Semon) was the 1996 IPABRA Top Ten
TB/WB #4 and the 1997 IPABRA Top Ten OF TB #5. Jetta Bars is a wonderful multi-champion
show horse who won Reserve Champion Open CM Sportbred at the Rocky Mountain
Model Horse Expo last April and NAN qualified (1999-2000) at the Colorado Summer
Classic in June and the Central Colorado Expo in July! Already the sire of six
foals, he is available at stud from 1990+. Please contact Beth Gustas at her
address or visit the Rainbow Dreams S/D list web page for more information on
Jetta Bars!

And you can't talk about Thoroughbreds without stopping in Lexington, so on
to visit with Michelle Peck Williams! Michelle would like to show us Native
Majesty (Native Dancer -r x Belle W. -r) He is a 1968 grey stallion and
is the Breyer "Native Dancer" OF. Native Majesty is a great old guy
with an absolutely awesome pedigree. He is from the last foal crop of the great
Native Dancer, one of the world's leading sires. His grandam is a full sister
to Triple Crown winner War Admiral. Native Majesty also traces to Man O'War
and Bull Lea. He has already sired several foals including Arctic Prince, Snow
Maiden, Noble Diamond, and Bold Expectations. He can produce chestnut, bay,
or gray foals, depending on the mare, and stands free to IPABRA members at Woodland
Stables. Write to Michelle for breeding rules and the mandatory breeding request
form.

And now for a little color let's go visit with Michelle Weston. Michelle would
like to bring out her mare Domino Theory (A Summer Breeze -r x Disco
Doll by Disco Dude -r). Domino Theory is a 1991 black tobiano racing type Paint
mare. She is the Breyer "Morganglanz" CM by Lee Francis. She is a
performance champion in photo shows and just recently brought home a Reserve
Grand Champion. Her sire is a World Champion and her paternal grandsire, Dixie's
War Drum, is an APHA leading sire. Her bloodlines include Three Bars, Nola Gay,
Northern Dancer, Swaps, and Tinky Poo. Her fee is free to IPABRA members and
she is open for one permanent foal and from 1996-1998.
-Michelle Weston, 87 Pheasant Ridge Road, Summit Point, WV 23446
Our last stop for the day is with Heather Mays. Heather is bringing out Jet
Bar Cody for us to admire. Jet Bar Cody (Whisper Jet -r x Jingos April
Vale -r) is a 1981 dark chestnut overo Paint stallion. "Cody" is a
really nice version of the Breyer #51 "Yellow Mount". He is a frequent
Halter and Breed class Champion as well as a multi-champion in Western Performance.
He is recently live show retired and is now standing for 15c and a LSASE. Cody
is ready to add your foal to his list of champion get!
-Heather Mays, 22154 Pondsville Road, Smithburg, MD 21783
Remember to include a LSASE when writing to anyone about a breeding request.
